When choosing a company that provides
you with your OSHA Safety Manuals here a few recommendations:
- Check to see if the manual is written for your state. (The laws differ
from state to state.)
- Check to see if it is up to date for your location and industry.
- Check to see if the manual is comprehensive. Does it include
everything, or do you have to buy it section by section, thereby raising
your price and possibly not having all the information or sections that
you need.
- Check to see just how much information is available in the manual. The
bare minimum is usually not enough. A 70-100 page book does not contain
enough to make you compliant. (Unless it is very small print.)
- Check the price. What are you getting for your money? Is it worth the
money spent? Does it contain the OSHA requirements as currently
interpreted? Is it "Facility Specific"? Is the format user-friendly?
